Today, food security for millions of people is at stake. Armed conflict, climate change, the loss of biodiversity and the impact of the COVID‑19 pandemic have led to this crisis. Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine has dramatically aggravated it, with severe consequences for many countries.
Only a joint global effort can overcome this multidimensional crisis. This needs to move beyond a silo mentality to find a multisectoral answer. The German Government, represented by Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze and Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir, is therefore hosting an international ministerial-level conference in Berlin on
